Dear Dave, you were my neighbour and my Country Big Brother. Wise in the ways of everything this townie needed to know; you looked after me in a myriad of ways and then later, my sister who followed me to Hadleigh. You were the gift that came with the pretty cottage next door - always ready to to help and mentor. I look back so fondly on the decision I made to move into a dilapidated timber framed building, next door to you, because you were such a support. I marvelled at your ability to problem solve, I revelled in your dry humour as you we doing it and I thank you for all those special years.
